  1. Site Bins

Front lift/Rear lift bins will incur a delivery/removal fee – $350.00.

Extra charges may apply if bins are removed with waste in them.

Extra charges may apply if bins are damaged (e.g. broken wheels etc).

Each site bin will incur a $350 delivery/pick- up fee.

  1. Skip Bins

Extra charges will apply if bins are damaged (e.g. tailgate doors, hook blocks etc).

Hire period: Unless otherwise agreed by SKIPZ, bins that have not been serviced can remain on-site for a maximum of 7 days. Bins may be picked up on-site after 7 days at SKIPZ discretion. Charges will apply for bins that are required to remain on-site for a period longer than 7 days.

  1. Bin Tarps

Bin tarpaulins can be purchased and are available upon request.

  1. Prohibited Items

WE DO NOT ACCEPT:

  • Contaminated Waste
  • Medical Waste
  • Gas Bottles
  • Liquids including paints and oils
  • Food or Putrescible Waste
  • Asbestos or items containing asbestos (unless packed in accordance with EPA requirements)

 

Prohibited Items: Asbestos, fibro, liquids, rubber, synthetic grass, carpet, food waste, noxious weeds, Crystalline Silica (also known as silica or concrete dust) and contaminated waste and soils are not accepted and if found will incur an extra charge.

Tyres and mattresses will incur an extra charge.

Any bins returned with prohibited items will be charged an additional rate of $400/tonne and a re-load & handling fee of $1000 per bin. Please note, regardless of the amount of asbestos in the bin, the whole load is deemed as contaminated in line with the Protection of the Environment and Operations Act 1997, its associated regulations and EPA waste classification guidelines in VIC.

  1. Recycling Reports

Recycling Reports are available upon request or as otherwise agreed and will be issued monthly.

  1. Recycling Centres

GSW, VENM and ENM can only be accepted with a characterisation report.

Once waste material is received and a weighbridge ticket issued and signed by a driver/company representative, the waste material type on the docket will be invoiced. Any discrepancies must be dealt with onsite at the time of delivery when the load can be clearly seen.

  1. General Terms

Chain of Responsibility obligations apply to you as a loader or consignor of skip bins. It is illegal to transport overloaded &/or overweight bins.

The client is responsible for any costs incurred due to Asbestos or other contaminates being placed in a bin without authorisation. The client is liable to pay any extra costs incurred by the owner, as a result of overloading, incorrect loading or load contamination by the client, his agent or other person(s) whilst the bin in on the client’s premises or under his control.

Damages to bins incurred during the hiring period will attract additional charges.

The placement, loading and pick-up of the bins are under the direct orders and control of the client and the client indemnifies the owner against any loss, damage or injury as a result of the function performed. The client is responsible for any damage incurred to property whilst loading and unloading bins. Bins must not be removed once they have been placed on site.

Bin relocation/movement/cancellation will incur additional charges.

Bins cannot be moved/relocated using unapproved methods.

SKIPZ Recycling Pty Ltd recognises Section C of the NTC Load Restraint Guide 2004 and the Work Health & Safety Act and Regulation 2011 in relation to bin weights and safe working loads. As a result, company specified weight limits must be adhered to in all circumstances. Drivers have the discretion and right to refuse to load any bin they consider overweight or unsafe in accordance with legislation, RMS/VicRoads and industry guidelines or company policies.

All prices are GST exclusive and subject to Government Impost and EPA Levy increases.

  1. Additional Charges/Waiting Times

ADDITIONAL CHARGES APPLY FOR:

  • Attending calls where access is not provided to bins
  • Overloaded or overweight bins
  • Damage to bins
  • Recycle loads contaminated with rubbish
  • Loads containing: Tyres, Mattresses or Tree Stumps
  • Extended bin hire
  • Construction Waste in General Waste bins

Additional charges will apply once our driver have exceeded 30 minutes on customer’s site. $37.50 for every 15 minutes exceeded will be charged.

  1. Hours of Operation

Office – Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 4:30pm, Saturdays from 6:00am to 12:30pm.

Skip Bins – Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 4:30pm, Saturdays from 6:00am to 12:30pm.

Recycling Centres – Monday to Friday 5:00am to 4:00pm, Saturdays from 6am to 12:30pm

After hours services can be negotiated at additional cost.

  1. Bookings & Payment Terms

Bookings can be made by calling 1300 335 822, Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 4:30pm and Saturdays from 6:00am to 12:30pm.

Same day delivery/changeover is prioritised if the order is placed before 10:00am that day.

AM delivery bookings need to be made by 1:00pm the day before/prior.

SKIPZ Recycling offers an account payment facility for approved applicants only.

Payment outside of terms or non-payment of accounts may be claimed under the Building & Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 2002 VIC, or as the case may be.

  1. Refunds and Order Cancellation and/or Variation:

You will be entitled to cancel or vary an order provided that SKIPZ Recycling receives notice of cancellation or variation no less than 2 hours prior to delivery time. You will incur an Administration Fee of $100.00 for a cancellation. Any variation made to your order within 2 hours prior to delivery time will be granted at the SKIPZ Recycling discretion and, in addition to the Administration Fee, may be subject to payment of reasonable costs. SKIPZ Recycling reserves the right to cancel or vary any order if SKIPZ Recycling is no longer able to provide the services set out in a purchase order, provided that SKIPZ Recycling will first notify you and use all reasonable endeavours to procure a viable alternative to meet your requirements. In the event an order is cancelled by SKIPZ Recycling, the customer will receive a full refund of any monies paid in advance for the cancelled order.

  1. Waste Definitions

Construction & Demolition Waste (C&D, C&D Waste) is any waste relating to the construction or demolition of a building, facility or otherwise.

General Waste is items that are not recyclable or hazardous (i.e., cups, pens, pencils, napkins, disposable utensils, straws, food waste, plastic bags, packaging, and wrappers) or within the definition of C&D Waste.
